Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in "Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance". Johnny Blaze who is still struggling with his curse as the Devil's bounty hunter - is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.
What I loved most: The SFX were cool, gotta admit.
What I really hated: Very bad editing and directing.
The character has so much potential after the first movie, too bad this really bad director messed up the whole second movie. It was really badly done. There were some really nice scenes done with cool special effects but generally poorly written and bad direction made this a waste of money to watch. They should never hire this director ever again to make any movies. By the way, I am not dissing this movie just because it is badly done...I am a loyal fan of Ghost Rider, I have the very first issue and nearly all of the first and second run of the comic book series. I am dissing this movie because they did not tap on the really good stuff from the comic book and ended up wasting the potentially amazing stories they could have done. So many cool characters and they end up with this? Seriously, if they needed a good plot or ideas for a good movie, just go look up Spirit of Vengence run of books. I also really liked the future ghost rider series alternate future version. Sigh, this is a really good character and I am sad that they wasted their money and mine.
