An 18-year-old girl is ecstatic when she finds out that her favorite rock star is a guest at the tropical resort where she is working for the summer. When they are both thrown overboard during a cruise and find themselves stranded on a remote beach, she fails to tell him the beach is just down the road from the resort.

Ever wondered how it would be like if you were stranded with your favorite rock idol? Well, our gal Jenny Taylor (Amanda Bynes) managed to get what she dreamed off. Bynes again outdoes herself as a self-proclaimed-super-fan of a rock star. Her expressions and antics give this movie much entertainment.

Opening up to this movie we see our main character screaming and yelling to her favourite singer Jason Masters (Chris Carmack) at a concert. The craziness of a concert and fans are depicted here and we can see how far Jenny is crazy about the singer and being a number one fan, she has an arch rival in the form of Alexis Menetti (Jamie-Lynn Siegler). Their rivalry is shown in the beginning and viewers will be ready to watch more of their 'bickering' later in the movie.

As it turns out, Jenny goes to work at a resort for the summer which 'coincidentally' is also the favorite spot of Jason Masters. Later, the rock star himself checked in and when Jenny found out, she was ready to make herself noticed...no matter what! She's accompanied by her best friend Ryan (Jonathan Bennet) who is sweet enough to go through her crazy antics regarding Jason Masters. As it would be, her big chance came when she is stranded on an island with her idol, but she found out later...they were just on the other side of the island from the resort she worked. The only thing is, Jason didn't know about it and Jenny plays along and tries to keep him believing that they are really stranded!

Everything was turning out great until Jenny's plan is interrupted by, you guess it...Alexis. With the coming of her arch rival, the craziness spreads out and we can see how girls can become vicious when it comes to their obsession.

I went to watch this only for the sole purpose of Amanda Bynes. She's come such a long way from her "All That" series and also her "The Amanda Show". Being trained as an actress by Arsenio Hall and Richard Pryor at comedy camp has paid off for her. Her expressions and daring to do all kinds of crazy slapstick stunts make her a young actress with so much comedy potential. You won't see the things she does be done by Lindsay Lohan or Hillary Duff. She's our girl next door with a crazy streak in her head. So the role of Jenny Taylor was the best character to be portrayed by Amanda.

What about the rest? Well, Chris Carmack could have done better as being the rock star Jason Masters, since most of the time you'd feel that there wasn't much in his acting. But he did good in playing the dumb-blond-guy-who-happened-to-be-famous type. Jonathan Bennet played it well as Ryan, Jenny's sweet and lovable best friend. And I definitely can say that there will be girls swooning over him soon. Jenny's arch rival? Very real and very irritating and executed well by Jamie-Lynn Siegler, you'll love her and hate her at the same time. Whoever can pull this off must be doing something right.

The whole movie was rather predictable with nothing much expected from it. A very typical teenage fun flick, with your usual love triangle and rivalry plots. If you're a fan of Amanda Bynes, then go and watch it. She's the only reason to watch the movie.
