What I loved most: It's a great comedy at the first half of the story.
What I really hated: Too much negative effects displayed.
The story was about twin brothers who fell in love with two sisters and was about to get married, but the nightmare began on the night of the wedding when Iqam was arrested by the police of drug possession. The wedding of the elder twin, Khusry took place with so much sorrow for the two families. Karisma suffered the most but was willing to wait for Iqam who was in rehabilitation center for 3 years. When Iqam came back, he was labeled as a 'drug addict' and not fully accepted by the community. Iqam later found out that he had AIDS and called off the wedding with Karisma at the last minute. Karisma's parent was upset and Asrul, who was a married man of five kids took advantage of the situation and asked Karisma a hand in marriage. To avoid shame in the family, Karisma was forced to marry Asrul as his second wife even though he was well known of being abusive husband, and Karisma at the end suffered and tortured by her husband, and the still held the love that she had for Iqam. Iqam suffered as much as Karisma and turned back to drugs, and paid off by the death of his father. When Karisma had come to know that Iqam had AIDS but still loved him and confronted him, had drove Asrul to beat Karisma when they saw them together, and Karisma was accidentally dead at the end of the fight. Iqam was then labeled as murderer and when police arrested Iqam, Asrul fired the gun and Iqam was dead. This angered Khusry and he wanted to kill Asrul. At the end, I think Khusry was shot by the police. The story is meant to convey a message about the dreadful effects of drugs, and how a family is pulled together to face difficulties, and to stay tough. It is also about loyalty of enduring love, and sacrifices for your love ones. But I think the ending is over simplified. The ending could be something like Karisma is married to Iqam and and necessary precautions have been taken to prevent AIDS, and they can also adopt children. This can also educate people about alternatives in life if they have AIDS, not to show this is the end of the world.

"Qabil Khushry Qabil Igam" is a tale about non-identical twins of Ismail and Tijah - Qabil Khushry (Hans Issac) and Qabil Igam (Rusdi Ramli). Khushry loves his brother very much, sharing secrets, joys and also sad moments.
Years later, Khushry falls for Rani (Ziana Zain) when they are in high school. While Rani's sister, Karisma (Erra Fazira), likes Igam, she cannot accept his mischievous behaviour. Still, a wedding unites the two families.
However, a destructive indulgence by Igam brings havoc to the families the day before their wedding. Khushry's wedding goes on as planned, but Karisma has to spend the night alone at home - waiting for Igam to return.
Three years later, Igam returns after a stint in rehab. He has turned over a new leaf, but some villagers believe that he will always be a bad guy. Another twist comes when Igam falls sick a week before his wedding day and is hospitalised. Again, shocking news await Igam and his family...
"Qabil Khushry Qabil Igam" is a portrayal of extreme feelings -- very happy and very sad. The movie opens with tears of joy - when Khushry and Igam are born. Then, when they meet Rani and Karisma in school -- the happy, lovey-dovey scenes continue, especially when Khushry sings a Tamil song. Then, the sad and anxious moments arrive when the brothers plan their wedding.
Ziana and Erra perform well as two sisters who think of taking revenge against Khushry and Igam, after they steal their clothes when they are bathing in the river. Expectedly, they fall for the brothers - in the style of most love stories. Meanwhile, Fauziah Nawi (as Tijah) is delightful as a caring good mother. She is calm in handling matters concerning her sons, her husband and her family. Even though she is supposed to be crying a lot, most of the time, she appears tough.
There are two bloopers in the movie. A 'dead' man is shown with his eyes blinking, while another is seen closing his own eyes after some time. However, its theme song is catchy and should help to get us in the mood for the romantic melodrama.
