Two ex-pugilist cops, Lee Blanchard (Aaron Eckhart) and Bucky Bleichert (Josh Hartnett), are called to investigate the homicide of ambitious silver-screen B-lister Betty Ann Short (Mia Kirshner) A.K.A. "The Black Dahlia" - an attack so grisly that images of the killing were kept from the public.

Disappointing

If you're not into innocent feel-good movies, but like hard-edged, intelligent dramas and aren't afraid of graphic scenes or dialogue, you should probably see "Dahlia," if nothing else, out of curiosity. After all, what else are you going to watch in theaters? Just go in with lower expectations. It's definitely not a Best Picture hopeful as I had predicted.
