Best Batman Movie ever

What I loved most: The strong plot, the good characterisation and the action

What I really hated: The police force seems virtually useless, some parts were too dark

The introduction of the show seemed a little uninteresting, but soon it picked up from there and started the beautifully woven plot of the show. It was entertaining and Batman was totally in-character - Christian Bale pulled off yet again another solid performance, and I daresay he is the best Batman yet. This movie has delved deeper into each of the characters, making an in-depth and very convincing show of each of the characters. Harvey Dent was a good addition in the story as well. I found the show's version of how Harvey became Two-Face somewhat different yet believable and also captivating. The Joker sent chills down my spine with his haunting actions, and he performed greatly in this movie. The things I disliked was how the police force seemed virtually useless. Though Batman is understandably in the limelight, the GCPD came across as an unneeded aid. Perhaps this is because every time in Batman, GCPD is always relatively unnecessary. Also, some of the scenes were too dark so I couldn't see what was going on properly. The ending was fantastic and wholesome and it captured his personality perfectly. The moving background music, coupled with the Commish's words, made it a wonderful closure to an already spectacular movie. My only hope is that there will be more Batman movies coming up, and that they will be able to match this standard that they have set after making such a great movie. Oh, and I'm still hopeful that someday someone will make a great Batman Beyond movie, where they have the future Batman (Terry) fighting and all, but I guess that'll have to wait. All in all, the best movie I've watched this year. Simply breath-taking and highly recommended that anyone who hasn't watched it yet should do so immediately.

Another Oscar contender after WALL-E!

What I loved most: Best movie of the year, perhaps?

What I really hated: Go to restroom before it begins

Last month, I said that WALL-E is the best movie of the year so far. Right now, I'll say I have to think about what I have said. The Dark Knight is a masterpiece in which acting, star-power, action, excitement and visual blend together to create a magical experience you'll never see. Its script is so smart that you'll forget that you're actually watching a mega-blockbuster and instead watching a movie that deserves a 'Best Picture' nominee at the Oscar. And as we all know, Heath Ledger might be the main factor of why people rush to this movie. Before his death, he took the role of Joker. And I must say, his Joker is one of the most disturbing character I've seen so far this year. The Dark Knight is an epic, a spectacular adventure that will delight everyone, no matter you love Batman or not.

WHY SO SERIOUS? The movie Joker stole from Batty

I have to admit that box office has been bombed by this movie surrounding the hype that it was Heath Ledger's last role before his death and rightfully so cos if u catch it, you'll understand why. His role as the Joker was totally on the spot (complete with the voice, dialogue, look, mannerisms etc.) He stole the limelight from Batty! but of course all this wouldn't have mattered if the story sucked, but with a good plot and enough development for the characters, The Dark Knight was truly a movie experience for all. I am keeping my fingers crossed to have a first superhero movie to ever win an Oscar. Joker's intricate plots and death traps had the audience enthralled while Batman had to make difficult decisions, such as who to save, exposing him to feelings of self doubt, comtempt and regret, showing to us that he's human after all. Not to be missed is also Aaron Eckhart's performance as Harvey Dent. Aaron's screen presence just stands out as the proseuctor who lost it all when he goes against the mafia and mob bosses of Gotham. Christian Bale, in my opinion, the best Batman ever, returns with another round of solid performance as Bruce Wayne. However, he was overshadowed by some of his new gadgets like the Batpod and his new suit (altho I didn't see much of a difference) and his new nemesis. Think I've gushed enough and if I haven't convinced you to watch this movie, you'll be missing out in an excellent one. Tough act to follow for the third Bat sequel.
