What I loved most: Visuals on mammoths & last battle scene, great music/sound
What I really hated: dreadful lines/dialouges
Ok, very impressive visuals right from the start of scenic landscapes, snow capped mountains, dessert. Not sure if anyone watched Apocalypto (directed by Mel Gibson) but the storyline is similiar but I'd say Apocalypto had more impact because the ppl spoke in native language and the protaganist was more hero-worthy than D'leh who didn't really show any courage towards the end. The actors/actresses didn't bring out the emotions as required hence the audience couldn't really FEEL it despite having great visuals & sounds. The dialouges are practically crap. There was one scene D'leh is trapped in a hole during hunting and a sabre tooth tiger was trapped inside trying to be free and he actually said, "Don't kill me when I free you." And when he was cornered by the tribal ppl, he spoke to the tiger once again, "You remember me right?" At another scene where the chief of another tribe comment, "You are just a boy" and D'leh replied with, "Tell him I am older than I look." It was also anti-climax when D'leh said yes when the Almight would release the girl on condition he leave with his ppl. They work so hard, crossed so many mountains, took so many pain to get there and he was giving up for the girl... Of which of cos he juz threw the spear like a javelin towards the person whom they call God and announced, "He is not a god." I almost flipped... LOL. Alas the girl get to reunite with her man but she was shot with an arrow and on verge of dying but she managed to come back to life cos of the 'Mama who spoke to the spirits'. Like huh??? Mama, don't be a mortal, be an immortal. =P

What I loved most: Everything about The hitman himself
What I really hated: The villian? The president with lots of doubles?
A very very accurate hitman, precise, quick. Very attractive. Very charming. He's on a mission to kill the person who hired him and then had to kill the woman of the President. Nika is also a very sexy woman but it's ... quite an eye opener to see how Agent 47 managed to resist her temptations. But I guess, towards the end, he did felt something for her otherwise he wouldn't give her the vineyard and protect her against the others who tried to kill her? If only all hitmen look as suave as him...lol! Oh yeah, the parts where 4 bald men of different nationalities killing each other with bareknuckles & ninja swords is quite redundant though.

What I loved most: Chipmunks performing, cute little Theodore
What I really hated: Uncle Ian
The entire show was extremely cute, adorable, fuzzy wuzzy... Dave discovered talking chipmunks who are able to sing and decided to get them to sing his song! The music producer discovered talent in the chipmunks and brought them to fame... Haha! The scene where Dave went shopping for groceries, the daughter of a lady kept throwing things at him and he thought it was the chipmunks. Haha then the lady apologised and he said he could understand how kids are cos he has 3 boys! HAHAHA... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEODORE. He had a nightmare and asked if he could slp with Dave. Dave asked him to slp on the other side of the bed but the cute little chipmunk decided to cose in with Dave. Even though Dave didn't like that but he still let it be. Theodore also drew Dave a card for christmas, a picture of him, alvin, simon & their daddy Dave! But apparently Dave didn't think of them as family... Theodore was crushed.... They did decided to live with Uncle Ian and had plenty of fun but he made him work non stop and no rest... Hrmp! I'm glad Dave went to save them and the kids realise they miss Dave so much... Awww... Chipmunks rule!!!!

What I loved most: All the magical scenes!
What I really hated: A little short & Mahoney's late realisation
What a wonderful emporium that I wish it could exist in real life! I felt like a kid hoping to get a piece of those amazing toys! Why don't we have toy inventors like Mr Magorium? But what I didn't understand was why did he have to leave? I mean of course there wouldn't be anymore storyline left if he didn't leave but there wasn't a clear reason as to why and it left me quite... unsatisfied. Mahoney's character seem to conflict every now & then... she's an aspiring pianist, hoping to compose her own songs but yet she has a job as sales assistant in the movie... At one hand, she's full of magical sense, she even tried to 'instilled' some humour into Henry, the stiff, everyday-normal-working-personnel, but when Magorium died, she turned into this 'back to reality' person and tried to sell the toystore! Hmm... My favourite character would have to be Eric, this extra-ordinary boy who wanted to make friends but understands that his interests turn other kids off. I was moved at certain parts of him, like when he said Mahoney was his only friend and she asked him how was the camp and he lied and said there was Jeff, who is actually a squirrel. And when he was at home, his mom asked what he did today. He said he built a statue, his mom asked if he did it by himself, he said, "Well, there were ppl." His mom suggest to him to make friends by saying hi! That was where he wrote a note 'Hi' to Henry and he asked him if he like checkers...it was so sweet! Another figure which I like was one of the 'hugging' toys which kept stretching out its arm whenever Henry is near cos it wanted to hug him~ Awww... Overall, there were some heartwarming parts even though the whole storyline didn't make any sense.

What I loved most: Though provoking issues
What I really hated: the way how nannies are being treated
To be honest, I had no idea what "athropology" meant before I watched this movie but after this movie, I understood it. It's funny how the movie started in a form of narration about some ancient tribal groups and how it evolved to the modern day living in US and how ppl are being classified. And that is how 'anthropology' comes into picture but it means 'the study of humanity' and in this case, it means social developments & issues. Over here, a fresh college graduate is trying to look for a job related to her field of studies and was offered a job as a nanny. Something which she hasn't done before and never thought about trying but opportunity came to her just like that. The story revolve around a rookie trying to experience life in the city and realised that it wasn't easy working with kids. It's ridiculous how Mrs X pass down so many rules & regulations for the nanny and her kid. To me, I feel Mrs X was absusing her lifestyle, enjoying the luxuries of being a rich man's wife attending parties, spa, manicure. Her love for her husband doesn't compansate on her neglectness for her son. It seems as though she's yearning attention from her husband and refuse to give any to her son. It makes no sense here and Annie was also probably wondering why Mr & Mrs X would quarrel every now & then and it made young Grayer insecure and it'd be Annie's job to comfort the little boy. Before she even realised it, she develop an attachment with the boy and I teared up at the part where Mrs X sort of sacked her off after discovering her husband taken a fancy for that girl and that Grayer kept chasing after the car which Annie was in. The boy kept shouting 'Nanny, nanny!" Then she realised she was paid peanuts and do what any normal human being would and that's letting her feelings out in front of a teddy bear which was instilled with a camera. The hot 'Human Torch' guy plays a very very minor role here as not much focus was put in this story. It's mainly focusing about Annie's study on athropology and I guess she was glad she experienced that. It kind of reminds of Devil Wear Prada in a sense where Mrs X & the Fashion Chief Editor is kinda similiar, in their 'indifferent' & 'unfeeling' way without considering the feelings of the protaganist. Btw, the umbrella thing is probably taken off from "Mary Poppins"?

What I loved most: Gusteur's "Anyone can cook" slogan
What I really hated: probably Remy's dad in the beginning?
As the review suggest, and a weekly movie go-er, I'd say this definitely make up my top 5 list of movies so far alongside with Transformers (not even POC3, HP5 made the cut). Anyway, the characters appearance here definitely grabs lots of attention with Remy's cute eyes, and Linguinie's big nose nerdy looking guy... The storyline is even heart warming then. All Remy dreamt about was too cook but he knows a rat is definitely not welcomes in a kitchen. But the irony is the late gustuer who kept appearing as a fragement of Remy's imagination kept popping up every now & then and encourage Remy to go ahead and assist the poor boy, linguinie to survive in the kitchen. It's funny how Linguinie managed to be the only one who saw a rat cooking soup. To be honest, Remy doesn't have to help Linguinie but he knows through Linguinie, he'd be able to realise his dream of becoming a chef. Slowly, rat & human bonded together through days of training... The scene were Linguinie shove Remy away made me tear. Because Remy's dad warned him about humans and he insisted that Linguinie wasn't that sort. But after Linguinie drove him away, he sighed and agreed with what his dad said.... But alas, Linguinie regretted his actions and Remy also went back to help him and Remy's dad also realised how much cooking meant to him and brought along his clan to help out to prepare the dish for Anton Ego after all the other chefs quitted. The scene whereby Remy was commanding Team 1 fish, team 2 steak was really funny!! At the same time when the health inspector saw so many rats inside the kitchen, it was a scary scene with so many little black rats with big eyes starred back at him!! LOL! Anton Ego isn't a bad guy after all, especially not after what he wrote about the restaurant when Remy whipped up a simple meal which touched his heart and our hearts at the same time too. ^^
