What I really hated: a lot!

Oh God! this is bad! i really have no idea why this movie gets positive reviews.This is the worst Malay horror movies (it shouln't be called horror anyway) i have ever watched.It got a dull and boring storyline.It is not scary at all.How can this movie get a theaterical release?It should have been sent straight on TV.The acting is below average especially from the newcomer.He really cannot act!!The only one who does a good job is Ida Nerina as she does her part pretty well.I must commend that! Erra fazira should just stick to Sembilu or any movies related to that.She shouldn't appear in any horror movies as she doesn't know how to scream.The ghost is also not scary at all.He is ala T oshio in Ju-On but in unscary look.When he starts to make his first appearance,i feel like like leaving the cinema.There is no creepy atmosphere and no attempt at scares the audiences.Even it does,it fails badly.I have wasted ten bucks and almost two hours sitting through watching this dull horror movie.I don't mean to slap malay movie industry,but if this is what we call a good movie,we are all wrong. If you happen to see the VCD of this movie on the neareast store,please don't buy it.It will only waste your monye.Please spend your money on other movie instead.What a shame !

Indonesia is one of the countries that produces many horror movies every year.The last horror movie that i watched was Malam Jumat Kliwon,which was a pretty bad movie that depends heavily on the loud bang to scare. the audiences.Legenda Sundel Bolong was one of the horror movies that i really wanted to watch after watching the trailer a few weeks before it was being released.As a big fan of horror movie who has watched many horror movies,i found that this movie tries to be different and it really works.The two main elements,drama and horror are blended well and makes the story interesting.The ghost does look scary and the atmosphere is creepy and eerie.One thing that this movie lacks is the killing scene.It is off-screen.and we only get to see the blood splatter.However that does not ruin the entire movie as the whole storyline is good.I hope there will be more movies like this in the future.I can't wait to watch Pocong 3 and Jelangkung 3 as i heard they have been relesed in Indonesia.This is a horror movie that i truly recommend to all horror movie fans!

as a big fan of asian horror movie,i'm really dissapointed with this one.It's not worth watching. It's a boring movie and there is no scare to be found in this movie. Just like Retribution and Haunted drum(thai) that i watched recently,this movie is the same-boring!!!! It seems that the producers of asian horror movis have been running out of idea in making a great and jump-of-our-seat movie. Please bring back scary movies like Ju-On,Shutter,Red Shoes,Dead Friend or any long-haired ghost movie that used to give me a nightmare! i miss them!

this movie is so great.i think this is one of the best horror movies that i've ever watched.I'd like to recommend this movie to everybody out there especially those who are into slasher movies.This is not a typical zombie movie that you usually see on cinema or TV.It's totally different. This movie is so gory and the acting is awesome!

What I loved most: nope! if there is,perhaps the loud sound that woke me up from the sleep.

What I really hated: all about the movie

I'm a big fan of horror movie.I'll always be excited where there are a bunch of asian horror movies being shown in the cinema. I thought this movie would be as scary as other Asian horror movies such The Eye or Shutter. From the beginning of the movie, i started to realize that i'm now watching a where-is-the-scare movie.The boredom started when there was scene when the lead actress talked to the ghost! Oh! what a teribble movie!The reason why i go to the cinema is to be scared but what i got from this movie was nothing. Please spend your money on other upcoming horror movies instead. Trust me,this movie is not worth watching.

What I loved most: the acting of some characters

"Sukob" is less than establishing of an atmospheric setting than a series of effective "jump scene" tactics but altogether it works because the setup is kept interesting and suspenseful. A barrage of horror movies, especially the slickest ones, tend to wear out their welcome with lack of genuine scares and excessively repetitious schemes. The film is highly skilled technically, particularly for a Filipino film. I really liked the cinematography, particularly in the early scenes involving Claudine, where the sepia effect is done nicely and keeps the whole movie from being visually monotonous.The effects also look superb, though they do falter in some points.Most of the actors give convincing performances, giving it a feeling of an ensemble film.As far as horror films go, "Sukob" delivers.
