Based loosely on A Christmas Carol, Ghosts of GFs Past is the updated version about a playboy in the form of Conner Mead played by Matthew learning lessons of love from 3 ghosts who will show him his path to happiness and true love. Unfortunately, I felt that the attempt to give A Christmas Carol a fresh perspective was not executed well enough. Jennifer Garner's role was also quite forgettable and miniscue. Although the soundtracks were nostalgic, they were so overused. Couldn't they have chosen other songs when there were so many during the 80s etc? That being said, there were touching moments ie. Connor's bestman speech, when Connor's brother spoke up in his defence, confrontation between Sarah and Connor. Michael Douglas' apperance in the movie was also uplifting and funny. An above average rom-com overall and one to bring your gfs to watch (or vice versa)!

The female lead, Christine, works as a loans officer and in order to get her promotion, decided not to grant an extension of mortgage to an old lady who put a curse on her. The curse will take place over 3 days after which her soul will be dragged to hell. Christine then consults spiritual mediums and tries to find a way out of the fix she got herself into. I'm not going to give the ending away but as far as plot comes, it is predictable. It is truly difficult to match up to the standard of horror film, The Ring, by far in terms of plot and scare factor and Drag Me To Hell is clearly not in competition, heck, it's not even in the same league! However, I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though it wasn't as scary. It also incorporated some funny scenes (or slapstick depending on how you look at it) to lighten up the tension that builds up, which i found refreshing. One of the better horror-comedy I've caught so far so do try to catch it as it strangely enjoyable. 3.5 stars (screams) from this reviewer.

Blood is a story of a half man-vampire in the form of a pretty lady with lethal samurai skills bent on seeking revenge on the most evil demon, Onigen, who had killed her father, with unexpected revelations on her birthstory. The action scenes were stunning and usually entertaining. However, some scenes like the fight atop a fallen vehice was highly exaggerating and the chase scene with the thousands of vampires were a tad been overdrawn. Love the dramatic effects given to the film which would otherwise have been boring and repetitive. When the movie ended, I could hear mutterings that they didn't understand what the movie was about! However, I feel it was not difficult to follow at all but the ending was slightly unsatisfying and anti-climax. Being over-hyped before the screening could have led to expectations being higher and subsequently not met. Adjust your expectations and one could enjoy the movie just like I did.

The movie as a stand alone is not too bad and entertaining. However, without the introduction of any new more formidable foes, Salvation does not have any significant characters, foes or lines that sticks in my mind. With the movie set in the future, one would have thought that the machines would have developed a more powerful weapon against the humans. One thing I do agree is that Sam Worthington stole Christian Bale's limelight in this one but than again Bale has been in one too many mage franchises. (He will be known as Batman for me!) Even the voice of John Connor sounds uncannily similar to Batman. The motorcycle killing machines were suoer cool! I did also enjoy seeing Arnie as the original Terminator killing machine (even though I read that his face was only superimposed on the cyborg body).

Personally I didn't enjoy the sequel compared to the first outing in the Museum. Not giving the audience any surprises, the sequel brings us to the smithsonian musuem as the original one is closed for upgrading and the old exhibits were stored there. What i did enjoy was Hank Azaria's portrayal of the evil King with his lisp-ing accent, funny lines and over-dramatic performace. NATM2 will however still appeal to kids and adults out for an night of relaxing and mindless entertainment. I also miss the prescence of the T-Rex in the second instalment.

What I loved most: BOB
Susan was getting married when a meteor hit her and soon find herself glowing and mysteriously growing into a giant. The military captures and confines Susan, renaming her as Ginormica and labelling her as a monster. At the facility she is introduced to the other 4 monsters, Dr Cockroach (mad scientist), The Missing Link (superstrength agile half monkey-fish), Insectorius (giant grub from radioactive exposure) and B.O.B (genetically altered and indestructible). An alien in search of the material that made Susan a monster in the first place soon descends on Earth and threatens annihilation and the US President decides to send the team of misfit monsters to battle it out with the alien resulting in some humourous and quirky moments. In comparison to previous Dreamworks animation, MVA did not stand out or is as hilarious. maybe it was lacking in a certain feel good message or the predictable ending or lack of twist. However, BOB (voiced by Seth Rogen) was hilarious and being brainless and all goo, his lines and actions were what kept me watching and entertained while the rest of the monsters weren't so impressive to me. BOB should get his own spinoff movie!
