Jennifer's Body main attraction is, of course, Megan Fox. The second attraction is the lesbian kiss between her and Amanda Seyfried. Other than that? Hm... I have no idea. The film is poorly promoted all around the world, causing the potential audience scratching their heads what is this movie exactly is about. Too bad for them, Jennifer's Body is actually quite interesting. Unlike other teen horror-comedy, Jennifer's Body has some clever moments and exciting, fun acting that will leave the audience goes WOW and WO-HOO. Too bad though, Jennifer's Body often feels a bit draggy at many points. And in the end, Jennifer's Body isn't funny or scary enough to satisfy its audience. Too bad. If only Diablo Cody was more focused toward the scary part, Jennifer's Body could've been more popular.

The idea behind Paranormal Activity is simple. It's basically a series of footages of a couple sleeping in the middle of the night. But the thing is, the house this couple sleeps in is haunted by an evil spirit. And in the footage - which is what the movie is all about - the paranormal activities by this unseen spirit presence can be seen through a lot of things: light flicking on/off by themselves, doors slamming on their own, chandelier swings suddenly and many more. The idea is so simple, right? But this film smartly gives almost all audience nightmares. Why? Paranormal Activity is so cheap and so real, it will leave the audience terribly shaken and not having a good night sleep afterwards because they believe the same thing will happen to them. Paranormal Activity is highly disturbing; highly terrifying because of its realistic ambience throughout the film. By the end of the film, you'll most likely believe that ghost does able to do such thing (I won't tell you what is this 'thing'). Paranormal Activity is highly recommended for those who are looking a fresh, original horror that will leave them terrified or at least... disturbed.

I seriously have no exact idea what makes this movie so charming beyond average; beyond everyone's expectation. Is it the 'indie film' mood that cover the entire film? Is it the sketch artwork that is used whenever the number of days appears on the screen? Is it because the jokes in the movie are so straight-forward, honest and so... unusually normal that they become so funny? Is it because Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, along with the other casts, fit their characters in the movie so perfectly? Is it because the whole movie itself isn't a romantic-comedy but a love-disaster movie? Or is it because the message that is subtly shown in the whole feature? I personally think 500 Days of Summer is one of my favorite movies of the year because it has very well-written screenplay and it's very original. It has a storyline unlike other movies in this genre, which focus more into its slapsticks and unfunny humor. Maybe you can answer this question by watching it yourselves?

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs might be the underdog of all animation films in 2009. The film, although doesn't have very strong originality like that of Disney-Pixar's film, is highly energetic and very fun to watch. The story tells about a man that makes a machine that transforms water into food. But later, this machine is damaged due to the greedy citizens' requests for food and later has its own mind. The visual for the movie is extremely charming, colorful and detailed as every single food you encounter in the movie is likely going to make you hungry for sure (so get popcorn or something like that when you're watching this movie). I'd highly recommend watching this movie either in 3-D or 2-D Digital. The colorful visual of the movie is something that you guys shouldn't miss.

Faubourg 36's trailer mainly focuses on its production design. I must admit the production design for the movie is charmingly well-done. From the Chansonia theatre to the amazing setting that can be compared to that of Paris in 1936. The problem, however, lies in its pacing. The pace for this movie is extremely fast that in the end it makes it very hard to follow, especially after the main female character is introduced in the movie. Don't get me wrong though. Artists will undoubtedly love this movie for other reasons. I found this to be 'all right'. Not that good, not that bad. There are things that can be much improved. Love the musical numbers. Makes it worth watching.

Yes, the tsunami in the movie is amazing. I could hear everyone's terror in the theatre when the tsunami is approaching the city of Haeundae in the film. However, I'm sick of all the dramatic screams and cries in the movie. It feels as if this movie is supposed to be tragedy-documentary film as a tribute to that of tsunami 2004 in Southeast Asia. The first-half of the movie is also arguably, extremely boring as it focuses on the relationship of each character to each other. In the end, however, seeing this character dies one by one is a rather stressing story instead of entertaining because... well... everybody screams and cries before his/her death. Watching this movie will make us aware of the tragedy of tsunami, yea, it's right. But I just hate it when they over-exaggerate the emotion, just like this movie. It makes the movie looks like a joke instead of a masterpiece.
