What I loved most: The stunning animation
Wall E is a very fine movie to me. It had a great message on environmentalism, Wall E is a very endearing creature and the whole story is very touching. The down side: Wall E is not your normal animation, and it is not those commercial anime that is target to please most cinegoers. I think to appreciate Wall E, one had to put on a different perspective. Wall E is without doubt, a new genre of anime. It elevates from the current type of anime that you had been seeing: animals speaking in human language acting out as a funny replica of human, and they are often voiced over by celebrities. Wall E is a very touching show. The illustration, or the CG effects were spectacular. Fancy being able to bring life to the figurines of Wall E and eve means only top notch animation can make this possible. I really applaud the immense courage of both John lassater and Pixar to make this movie possible. They could just easily have lapped on the success of their past movie model and anticipate an easy box-office success. However, they chose a longer and more tedious route which could mean setting a new mile stone for the whole anime industry. Wall E is a movie that you can savour on, but for you to enjoy it, you have to imagine that you are living in the space age of 2700 so that you can understand the lonely world of Wall E better.
